FERDINAND BACKS CALVERT-LEWIN FOR UNITED
Rio Ferdinand believes that Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a quality player that would thrive at Manchester United. According to him, Calvert-Lewin has shown that he could play for the Red Devils.
Rio Ferdinand was even more convinced that Calvert-Lewin will do a good job at Manchester United if the club splashed the cash to sign him.
Manchester United have been linked with a lot of strikers in the transfer window and it remains to be seen if a striker would be signed in an addition to EdinsonCavani or in place of the Uruguayan international who might leave the club at the end of this season.
Cavani has been linked with a move away from the Theatre of Dreams with Boca Juniors of Argentina seen as favourites to land his signature if he leaves. He joined the Red Devils as a free agent after leaving French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG). Manchester United boss Solskjaer has already talked about offering the player a new one-year deal for him thereby extending his stay at Old Trafford.
Haaland and Kane are the two top striker targets at Manchester United but they will set them back financially. Dortmund striker is said to want around €600,000 weekly if he were to make the move from the German club to a bigger team. For Kane, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to let the Tottenham Hotspur striker leave the club. In the end, Dominic Calvert-Lewin seems to be a good option.
